DJ Galen Wade / Playlist / Waldron's Century Party (New Lebenon, NY) - July 18, 2009
This was an outdoor party celebrating the dualing 50th birthdays of Bill & Malene, and one of the first chances I've had to do my thing for friends from the Hawthorne Valley Community. I even brought my fourteen year old daughter. A bunch of her former classmates were there. I did an 'arrival/hang/eat/hang/think about dancing' set from 5 to a little after 8; at which point the live entertainment, the snaky slinky ska-infused band "Mother Fletcher," did their first set. MF was just great and started people really boinging around, an energy I was pretty well able to carry forward in my dance set which was from 9 to 10:30. Then the band did another set with their recently arrived second guitarist. Everybody seemed really happy and it was a joy to be a part of this grand event. [BIG SUPRISE @ THE BOTTOM OF THIS PAGE!]
